Writing is not like Field of Dreams. Just because you write it, does not mean they will come.
I had a dear friend who spent thousands of dollars on a website. A company promised that all she needed to do was to pay them to build it and people would then flood her with online orders. The promises sound so good! The success stories are so inspiring! The reality is so depressing! If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
Writing is a passion - Publishing is a business.
There are some really great webinars, blogs, books, and online courses designed to help new authors print, publish, and market a book. Just remember, they are all trying to sell you something.
In my next few posts I will share some of the marketers you will want to avoid and some of them you may want to consider.
